About 8 months ago, I built my first ever pc. This pc include parts such as an Asus Z170 pro gaming motherboard, I5 6600k, Asus R9 390 and G. Skill ripjaws V 2x8gb ram. After 3 months of working flawlessly, it suddenly crashes. It starts blue screening whenever a certain task was taken and then it started to get worse. It would then blue screen whenever I tried to boot which then made me reinstall windows 7. At the time however, I was using Windows 10 64 bit. This was when things got really tough. It wouldn't finish installation due to a blue screen right before the installation finishes. This meant that there was not much I could do software wise. This then lead me to believe my ram was dead which I then ordered some new ram, corsair 2x8 and corsair 4x4. This also didn't fix the issue. Frustrated, I went to a pc repair shop and they told me the mobo was dead. I then got a replacement from Asus and tried booting it up again and boom, still dead. Returned it to the pc repair shop and this time they said it was a dead CPU. Hearing this I was surprised and reluctant. I knew CPUs where hard to break but I had no other choice. Now I'm stuck between getting a different model mobo to see if there were incompatible parts (which I don't think is right) or trying to replace the CPU which I'm sure Intel wouldn't be happy about because I did overclock. So id like to hear your thoughts. What should I do?
