New Build wouldnt Post one day so I got a mobo speaker tried to get it to beep.

While trouble shooting I discovered something odd. with only my CPU and MOBO conneced to my PSU, my CPU does not heat up at all even after 5 minutes of leaving my breadborded mobo powered up.

MY question is does this prove that my mobo is dead? or at least the portion is powers my CPU?

MOBO: 990FXA- UD3
CPU: FX 8120

Yup i have the fun plugged in, anything attached to the board gets power, CPU reduses to do anything, wont even heat up. HSF is not on the CPU im gonna have to get a new one anyway becuz i bent some of the pins... but I need to know if my mobo is the main cause of the fault befoe i bent the pins lol

Nope i get no display no post no beeps from speaker, my thing is if electricity goes through any medium that medium will heat up. dead processors still heat up, this processor did not even reach room temperature... lol

Right, do u have any option to try your CPU in another PC?

Or to try another CPU in your mobo?
