Did you bend a pin on reinsertion? Are CPU power connections tight in motherboard? Is CPU fan plugged in to fan header?
Do any fans run?

A: Yes, imo. Are there any power-on led's show the mobo recognizes power?

Suggestion, if a mobo won't start post, always include make, model and age. I am no pro but I have read many pro posts & there seems disagreement about what can cause a mobo to not respond to power at all. E.G, is a bad cpu a reason why absolutely nothing happens? afaik most newer boards don't need anything to start posting.

I have a keen interest in this atm due to 2 Z97 fails I have posted abt. Many mobo fails occur when something is upgraded, so first thought is the new item or bad installation is the problem. People replace vid card cuz video problems, then system won't boot, etc. It seems you had on-board display so you cant know if it's the board or cpu. Now I think you do.
