If you integrated video died, you have a bigger problem. Anytime you install a dedicated GPU, the bios will instantly recognize it and switch to it.
Not always but worth trying I think.
A shop would just try that and if it fails it would replace the motherbd. The fastest solution is the cheapest when you're paying $100/hr tech rate.
Since an add in GPU didn't work for you
- how sure are you that the monitor works?
- Does the pc start up like it normally does? Do you get the Bios beep and the windows startup sounds ?
