Hi everyone, I finally moved on to an OLED TV on my PC. I bought a 42-inch LG C3 OLED TV on Amazon Warehouse. It was a used one but the price was not bad and with a 20% discount I paid in total "only" 550 euros. This discount I requested because on the panel I saw some dead pixels at the edges (in the right edge at the bottom only one that remains dead in all colors), and in the edges on the left and on the right, one at the bottom and one at the top , these are small row near the TV bezel (see three photos):

Among other things, I also discovered that this TV has already been used for 1700 hours, so at this point what do you advise me to do? On Amazon it is no longer available to be purchased therefore either I keep it at the good price I paid or I make the return having to spend much more for another model, or could LG repair the panel in your opinion?

My concern is that the dead pixels could increase over time, given that this TV has been used for many hours/months
thank you for you help

I would keep the TV.

No waranty correct?

Having LG (or anyone) repair the TV for a few missing, border pixels is likely to end up making things worse. Plus cost a lot.

And if there happens to be some remaining warranty, that warranty is likely to be voided no matter what is done and/or by whom.

Yes, the dead pixels could increase over time. Or the entire TV goes dead with a spark and a poof of smoke.

Treat the TV well, start saving for a replacement. New with full warranty support.

Just my thoughts on the matter.

i have 2 years warranty on amazon
don't know if also with lg, i need to write them

Yes: write LG. I would not be optimistic.....

A few border pixels may be deemed "cosmetic" and not warranty worthy. I do not know.

Rules vary by country.

Still no harm in checking. Be sure to ask about the costs that you may need to pay: shipping?

Be ready with the make and model numbers, the serial number, proof of purchase, and maybe even some proof of warranty registration....

Likewise with Amazon: read the warranty very carefully. Look for the loopholes and again, any costs that you may incur. Especially with a used TV.

Then think about the risks, trade-offs, and additional costs that may be involved.

Consider how many more Euro's you are willing to invest. What is your limit? How much more can you afford or be willing to lose.

Not an easy decision.
