Dead ps/2 port workaround?

I'm building a Windows Xp rig for retro gaming, but the ps/2 keyboard port seems to be dead and I can't access the bios. Would an 'unattended install' of Windows Xp allow me to use a USB keyboard to go back and change the bios settings afterwards?

(I'm using a decade old motherboard, so USB will not be turned on in the bios at first)

No because the usb drivers won't load until after windows starts.
Do you only have the one ps/2 port?
