Simple yes or No. Do you guys think that 2 dead PS2 ports is a good
sign that the motherboard is gonna go soon?

No, usually those ports just lose their powering; bridge-ing their +5V
feed line with Usb +5V powering line usually fixes things :) ; such
way I repaired quite a lot of "bad" PS/2 ports till now ...
