Dead Rising 3 Dx 10 ??

Solution
Well i would definitely wait if you can,the 800s should be coming this month and that will make the 700s drastically fall in price.

But if the rest of your system is as old as your 9800..you're probably looking at a full PC upgrade before you can play any recent games at a decent rate.

Atleast according to how these "Next-Gen" games have been performing on PC so far.
From the reports im seeing,Dead Rising 3 is in a nearly unplayable state for PC.

Either its a REALLY shoddy port or its intentionally crippled by Capcom as Ubisoft did to Watch_Dogs.

TotalBiscuit and his beast of a rig (i7-3930k @ 3.2ghz,SLI Titans,32gb of RAM) said "The game runs poorly" for him.

I REALLY doubt your +6 year old GPU is going to be able to play it,even after it gets patched/modded.

Im not sure what Nvidia is doing, according to leaks at Overclockers.uk, the GTX 970 and GTX 980 8GB models are expected somewhere between November and December so it seems they're skipping the 800s all together.

Currently playing that game and I am only using a GTX460
It runs comfortably at 28-30 Fps (no freezing or lag)

Sorry for bringing back to life this old topic but somehow I ended up here while searching for some bug info about my Radeon R9 290X and Dead Rising 3 with the latest dx11.

Now, without any intention from me to be a smartazz, I would like to ask you guys why don't try looking at google. From what I have found it appears that some guy managed to find a solution for older GPUs and make it possible to run latest dx11 games. Also, a lot of people are saying that it does make their game run with ther old graphic cards.

So maybe you should check it out. It can't hurt but there is always that small chance that actually someething might work.

Now, I'm off to my Radeon R9 290X issues... 🙁

Considering that site demands that you fill out a 'survey' in order to download the fix, I'm not particularly convinced it's legitimate. In any case, the newest DirectX 10 graphics card is almost 7 years old at this point, so if you still have one, it's probably time for an upgrade.

A new console generation means hardware requirements are going to increase, and cards that came out 5+ years before the new consoles hit the market are simply not going to be able to play the latest graphically intensive games.
