SSD: Kingston A400. APPROX 1 year old.
OS: W10 x64
This morning my PC worked perfectly.
I wanted to test some hardware I bought recently.
Pentium E6700
Dell G43 board
I took my SSD, RX480, and PSU out of my Ryzen system and plugged it into my "new" Intel hardware. The bios saw the SSD but showed a blinking underscore when booting to it, which i just chalked up to driver conflicts.
What puzzled me was when I put my SSD back into my Ryzen PC, it didn't boot. Windows gave me a "A required device is not connected or cannot be accessed."

I plugged in my W10 install usb and used the startup repair option, which told me it could not fix my issue. I still figured driver issues.

I concluded i needed to reinstall w10 and wanted to copy data off of this drive. I plugged this SSD into my Acer Nitro 5s empty 2.5in bay and upon boot i received a repairing disk message. I let it complete than copied some pictures and data off.

Then i put the SSD back into my Ryzen PC and installed W10, which was smooth and quick. I restarted since Windows after downloading drivers. Upon boot, i got "no bootable device found". I checked SATA cables and then I checked my BIOS and my SSD now shows up as a "SATAFIRM S11". Restarting and reconnecting sata cables proved useless.
I googled this error and it says something about the firmware of the drive was rewritten and the SSD is likely dead.
Is this the case?
Luckily all of the data was backed up, so recovery isn't an issue. I also happened to buy an Intel DC S4500 480gb yesterday since it was really cheap.
