Hi all
My desktop pc died last week and I have no idea what the problem could be.

my system

MB; Asus P9X79 Pro
Processor: I7 3930K
GPU: GeForce GTX 770
RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR 3 1600Mhz
Cooler: Corsair h100i
PSU: was Corsair RM 850 Now Seasonic Focus GX 750

so the system died on Monday. There were LEDs on motherboard but no power to start system. I tested the PSU by using the paper clip method and noted that the fan didn’t spin. I then ordered the new PSU thinking that was the problem.

I completely stripped down the system And cleaned all components whilst waiting for the PSU to arrive.
I have rebuilt the system and I have the exact same problem. A couple of LEDs on the board but no power. I have tried breadboarding with just the cpu and cooler, one stick of ram but nothing. The board doesn’t have any audio for warning sounds but there is a LED display that is supposed to show any error codes but I notice this is not working either. No LED at all.

Appreciate any advice guys

Thanks in advance

Solution
Your motherboard is from like 2011 or thereby, and if you have used the computer on a regular basis, I'd say the mainboard is simply going defect due to old age.
