Dead to rights 2 hell to pay monitor display error

Hi, i hope i'm at the right place to ask this question. if not let me know.

so i got this game "dead to rights 2" from this link under the youtube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sfo1iA1WJd8
(i know its kind of illegal but i cannot find this game anywhere. not even in steam. otherwise i would have bought it.)

which seems to be working fine for others but me. when i launched it i get this error message.
"The current input timing is not supported by the monitor display. Please change your input timing to 1280x1024@60Hz or any other monitor listed timing as per the monitor specifications."

the screen keeps showing the message until i restart the computer but i can hear game running in the background.

and the thing is my monitor's resolution IS 1280x1024@60Hz

*i DID search for a solution everywhere but everybody get this error for a different hardware issue not because of a game.

so umm can anybody help me with this? i'm not that good with solving computers and hardware issues so i hope somebody has an easy solution?
