So i've had my benq xl2430 for a long time (2-3 years) i've really enjoyed using it but it has always had this small tear of either pixels or a stubborn smudge. I've tried to remove it while cleaning my monitor but i could never do it, I was to lazy to return it so i put up with it. Recently i decided that its about time i return it if i can, I would like to know if this is a smudge or dead pixels/sub pixels.

Some skin oil or other foreign substance that was introduced during manufacture, and only visible after use and a few heat/cool cycles.
Or partial delamination.
Or dead pixels.

Doesn't really matter what it is. Either it is still under warranty and they replace it.
Or it is still under warranty, and they don't replace it.
Or it is out of warranty, and you waited too long.
Or it is out of warranty, and they replace it because you're a nice guy. (yes, that happens sometimes)

Whatever it is...it is mostly up...

Sorry I didn’t mean to sound rude, I meant how could you get a smudge in a place that is completely unaccessible?

Or, you live with it.
