[SOLVED] Deaf gamer here. I need help with Google Chrome live captioning to display on my main gaming monitor

Hello! My good friend told me about Google Chrome which it has a new feature, live captioning! I use Discord a lot for text communications. This live captioning works very well in the discord which it is amazing. I mean, this works only the discord is in the Google Chrome, not stand alone Discord.

Here is the example: View: https://i.imgur.com/SvGrBVm.png

Now here is my problem. While I'm playing a game with my friends, I have to look at the caption box on my SECOND MONITOR. I can drag caption box around, but it cannot go anywhere. The caption box stays inside Google Chrome. A good friend of mine suggested to try OBS to capture caption box on my second monitor and put capture screen on my main monitor. It works, but it is not great.

Here is what it looks like: View: https://i.imgur.com/q7QgVBk.png

My own solution is to buy 3rd monitor and put it top of my gaming monitor and make this capture full screen. That'll cost me. I think I don't like this idea, but I think that will be my last resort. Now, I really want to put this live captioning box on the front of my game so I can read and play a game at same time instead looking at 2nd monitor. neck cracks and dies ow

Can anyone help me to figure this out? Someone told me try a widget, but I have no idea how it works. Here is my <Mod Edit> draw so you can get my idea: View: https://i.imgur.com/OdBl6M6.png

Please help me with this, and thank you for reading this ^_^

Mod Edit: Cleaned up language a bit.

I am not sure about the use of or added value of a 3rd monitor per se - and how that differs from the "2nd monitor".

Is it possible to just get a dual monitor mount to place the stated 2nd monitor above the game monitor?

Something like:

Example only - not a recommendation.

= = = =

However, that all said - OBS?

This software?

Have you tried, experimented with "projector view" ? As mentioned in the second paragraph? Extended view.

Are you familiar with "WIN" + "P" for projection options?

Overall, I doubt that you are the first person seeking such a solution and it appears that solutions are likely available.

The key is to match the details and requirements.

I use OBS for other reasons but there should be a solution for what you are trying to do with OBS.
For one thing, the whole OBS screen is showing in your example above and it shouldn't be.

You need to learn about Sources & Scenes in OBS and how to use them.
Take a look through this info and see if it helps you any: OBS Scenes and Sources

OBS has a forum for folks just like you with problems understanding their software. Ask them and you'll get the help you need.

Get a smaller screen and put it under/over the main one for the text display instead of to the side. Something like this https://www.amazon.com/Elecrow-Rasp...jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==

or

Using a capture program to mix in the game and the caption box would cause issues for game play with delay.
