This deal has been on and off for a few months now....

[citation][nom]quovatis[/nom]Make it at least 14" and I'd be interested.[/citation]You mean like the M15x? 😛
Anyway, I think that the small size is part of the appeal. I don't want to be lugging around a 6+ lb notebook. The M11x provides decent power in a portable package. Hook it up to a larger display when you want to game and you're good to go.

This is a netbook on steroids. Better screen (1366*768 vs typical 1024*600), better video (discrete GeForce GT335 vs typical integrated IntelHD), arguably better CPU (1.3GHz ULV C2D vs Atom).

[citation][nom]jimsocks[/nom]Did they fix the hinge[/citation]
Actually, yes. Starting in March they are replacing the hinges with the new design for anyone who has had issues (whether or not you are still under warranty no less)

I bought this a couple months ago when it was also $550. Great little laptop. Battery life when you need it and pretty decent gpu when you wanna play a game.

[citation][nom]soldier37[/nom]I was going to get a M17x R3 until the SB fiasco happened. Guess I will wait for the so called M18x and Im 6'2 225 and fit I dont have any issues lugging around a 10lb+ notebook for those that complain about that. Also for the record the M15x is 15.6 not 14 moron above.[/citation]

Why would you buy a Alienware? There parts are SO OUTDATED and the money they think there outdated systems are worth is obsurd. If you compare a quality Clevo OEM to Alienware you can get twice the computer for alot less then AW.

If you compare this to other gaming laptops, then yes, the hardware is outdated. But compared to the rest of the over-priced netbooks out there, this is a great deal!

Hardware might be "outdated" but it still puts out. It can run most modern games on med/high settings, and has unmatched performance in its class (netbook size). Note that it is also able to to achieve 7-8 hours of battery life when you need it. And while the su7300 cpu is a core2duo @ 1.3 ghz, it can be oc'd in bios to 1.6 ghz, and further hard-modded to run at 2.0ghz and above. In reality, there's really nothing that will match the performance of this little laptop for the same price.

Have one of these with i7 CPU in it. Really sweet and not bad at all, however, I would prefer a better videocard in mine soon. I am disappointed that it froze a few times but I'm pretty sure its because of the ventilation/heat issue. But then again, my fault for playing BFBC2 1366*768 2xAA trying to CRANKZ OUT DA FRAYMZ!!!!!
