[citation][nom]shadow187[/nom]GTX260 for $140, Super-overclockable super-cool HD5770 for $140...reference HD5770 for $130...[/citation]

The GTX260 and the 5770 have on-par performance, and the GTX will overclock just fine...

Yeah it expired June 5th if you look closely...nice joke Tom's and it actually takes you to Dell's website to place the order if you click "get deal"...odd. This ad looks just as scammish as most of the PC related listings on Ebay...got to watch yourself there also...if you don't know your stuff you will get pwned in the wallet.

Also, cards with the power of a 5770/260 should be at the 100 dollar range by this point [again, following the chart I made up based on "best graphics card for the money" articles and my own newegg cart.]

How is that lucky? They bought a GTX480 and are in for a big surprise. I guess if they live in a cold environment, they got a double bonus in a video card and a space heater.

In my situation, I would LOVE to have a computer that pumped out lots of heat. In the winter it would probably raise the temperature by one or two Celsius, enough to make it comfortable in the room. Sometimes I still feel cold.

[citation][nom]joytech22[/nom]Awesome, the gtx260 is almost as cheap as a brand new game! (if you compare to ripoff game stores)[/citation]

Not really. Even Call Of Duty is "only" $90-100 if you factor in DLCs. Now I don't condone these high prices, and would MUCH prefer it if DLCs were actually a decent value @ $5 and more maps/features and games themselves stuck around $50 instead of jumping to $60.

[citation][nom]soldier37[/nom]Gtx 260 - poor man's card.... When you all grow up you can get a 5970 and 2560 x 1600 res and game like it should be seen.[/citation]

Considering GPUs have been able to do 2560 x 1600 for a while now, you don't need to buy that card.

On another note, until games start supporting DX11, you won't see that much of a jump in performance yet. Just like how ATI went with DX10.1, and saw very little gains across the board. Granted now that both camps are DX11 ready, it is now up to developers to utilize it.
