before the fiasco 2TB drives were $79 dollars on Newegg, so thumb me down all you want, but this is a FACT. if it weren't for this fiasco we would have 4TB for around a $100 dollars by now.

Seagate drives some years ago had 5 year warranty and were working for over 5 years. Today's Seagate HDDs rarely last more than half a year and take a look at newegg.com where Barracuda DOA rate is more than 50%.
