[citation][nom]PTNLemay[/nom]I checked on Dell's Canadian store... The very same Creative USB soundblaster is 70$. F*** my country.[/citation]
Not a bad card. All software based, but cpu's have tons of power now days. My only complains for that card are
1. THX enhancements do not offer the same quality/options of CMSS-3D from old X-fi cards
2. The card is more quiet then a normal cards(analog). I can only guess its a limit of the 5 volts it gets from the USB port. I am not sure what opamps it uses, but if they are not rail to rail, they may be limited to a MAX 3.8-4 volts of swing(or 1.9-2 volts about and below 0). While I would figure that should be enough it was noticeably lower then even my onboard audio(and much quieter then my X-fi).
3. Line-in and Mic-in seem to be shared so only one at a time.
On the other hand, it sure was an upgrade for my laptop audio.
