Deathadder elite randomly malfunctions and disconnects...

Basically, I woke up the other day and started up my computer. My Deathadder elite had no previous issues whatsoever. Anyways, the cursor on the screen isn't moving, so I unplug my mouse and plug it back in, still no signs of life. I plug into a different USB port on my PC, still no signs of life.I plug into a spare laptop, still no signs of life.

I plug into my PC and leave it there for 10 minutes when suddenly I hear the windows "device inserted" sound. The mouse works for like 5 minutes and then a windows notification shows up "USB device not recognized... the USB device has malfunctioned".

I tried unplugging and re-plugging the mouse, fruitlessly. Then I feel an electric shock from the back of my computer (probably static electricity). So I touch it again, (mind you my apartment does not have an earthing mechanism), and for some reason I decide to place the USB end of my mouse right on top of it, and then I plug it back in and BOOM it works!! At least that's what I thought until it disconnected again in 10-15 minutes. So I try the process again, it works but then disconnects again...

What's driving me crazy is that sometimes after the mouse disconnects, I leave it plugged and in 3-5 minutes it turns back on!!! but then disconnects after a while. This doesn't always work though.

Craziest peripheral issue I've ever encountered.. Has anyone went through a similar experience? Is it covered under Razer's warranty?

Solution
Try to keep it civil here, even though it might not have direct relevance it does give you an insight to the alternatives assuming you continue to have issues with your mouse.
Keeping on topic: What did Razer have to say?
Razer products, while popular for some reason (have no idea why) are plagued with software and hardware issues. I still wonder why people still buy Razer products when it's known well that their products have issues. I guess too much marketing is behind it with catchy looks.

I'm using Corsair peripherals with my Skylake build (full specs with pics in my sig) and i have had 0 hardware issues with all five of them. Only issue that i've had with them is software related since i'm using unofficial software (Corsair CEE) to set my KB to look even more fancier. Like so,

(note: it's not my PC in the video but i do have the same KB)

Without using unofficial software (Corsair CEE) and when using only official software (Corsair CUE), i have 0 software issues as well. And for longevity, i've had my peripherals in use for over a year now and they all are still going strong.

I suggest that you either RMA your mouse and get a replacement or if you don't trust Razer anymore, go with some other brand, e.g Corsair or Logitech.

Well, what do you want me to say? Glorify your beloved Razer mouse til the world's end and say that everything else is at fault while your mouse is free of any suspicion? 😵

I did say that you should return your mouse or go with another one. Since we don't live in a perfect world, all things break / seize operation eventually. While for Razer products, they happen to die sooner than later.

Huh, hell no. Who tf asked about your Skylake build with "specs and picks in sig".

I'm really not interested about your majestic holy build and JaW-DrOPPinG GloRiOuS 5 CORSAIR PERIPHERALS wITh nO SoFtWARe iSSuEs OMGGGG.... 😛😛

I ain't salty about my mouse going faulty but I posted here to see if others have a solution to my issue, not for pics of their rigs and showing off their gear bro. There are other places for that.
