Decent Budget Gaming rig

Ok, I'm looking to build a decent gaming rig for at or under 650. Things I dont require are the case, as I have purchased the Rosewill Windowed Throne already. Which means I can handle just about any form factor of motherboard you want to throw at me.

FYI Also want to be able to play the new Elder Scrolls Online with little difficulty

I would prefer an intel chip as that would allow me to use a PCIE 3.0 card. Though I am open to suggestions. I've been crawling around the internet for the past few weeks in anticipation of my income tax check coming in and I'll be damned if I didnt just make my brain explode.

Sorry, I should have done my due diligence before posting the initial message. Allow me to elaborate on what I'm looking for.


Approximate Purchase Date: e.g.: End of this week (19th) to beginning of next (23ed)

Budget Range: (e.g.: 300-400) Before / After Rebates; 850 / ~800

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gameing like a motha... Mostly wanting to be able to run on High or Ultra Skyrim and ESO as I will be playing that when it comes out.

Are you buying a monitor: No, I use my TV and for word processing I have a 23 inch HDMI monitor



Parts to Upgrade: Everything, as the only thing I have is the case, Rosewill Throne (Windowed version gunmetal grey)

Do you need to buy OS: Yes, but that is factored into other budget not the actual build.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg, but if there are other websites that can woo me away, then I say "Seduce me with your wares."

Location: Midland, Tx

Parts Preferences: I have no brand loyalties but I do like Intel mainly because it runs cooler at 85W and it will allow me to get a MoBo that supports PCIE 3.0

Overclocking: Later on possibly

SLI or Crossfire: SLI later on likely.

Additional Comments: I dont care what it looks like so long as it works well and I wont have to worry about upgrading in the near future.

And Most Importantly: I am upgrading because I have a Toshiba Qosimo that has served me well. But alas it is starting to get a little weak in the knees and needs to be put out of it's misery.

All you really need is 2x4gb 1600mhz ram, a 4670k cpu with a cooler master evo, and something like a 280x for the extra vram (which you will need with modded skyrim), and windows 7 64 bit. Besides that, the rest is just what you want to put in (although make sure your psu is from a reputable brand)
