Decent External Sound Card?

So I know I should get an internal sound card, but I can't be asked to install something new as my computer setup is a hassle. My output to myself sounds fine with my on board audio, however the mic I use to talk to friends creates a ton of static and I've read by numerous people with the same headset that this is caused by it being a 3.5mm connector and having some interference within the hardware. I am using the HyperX cloud 1 and all I want to do is find a decent product that changes the input from 3.5mm to USB as it seems they're aware of the problem as Kingston included an adapter in their HyperX cloud 2. Any help is majorly appreciated.

Solution

1) I'm saying the issue is likely with your set being old as hell or your 5V being noisy, neither of which will be 100% corrected by an external sound card. It might help, but not always.
2) Try using the line in for mic like I said, usually front is mic and back is line-in without the additional voltage component
3) If you absolutely must, here's a few:

Your issue is likely completely unrelated to what you think it is. Spending more money on a lower quality set isn't really worth it. Try just plugging the set in directly to your onboard card, using line-in rather than mic

I'm sorry but what? I'm not looking to buy a new headset and I am plugged directly into the mobo now. I just was looking for something to convert the 3.5mm input into usb as the problem doesn't occur on usb headsets.
