I'm a 14 year old kid on a tight budget and I really want/need a gaming PC. I may have a tight budget but the two things I DO NOT want to cheap out on are the PSU and the Graphics Card. I also plan on using AMD processors for a cheaper build and also for slight OC'ing.
I also need a OS,Optical drive, and a wifi card
Approx. Purchase Date: Around December and January 2014

Budget Range: 500-550$

System Usage from most to least important: Gaming, Recording, Video Editing, Programming, Graphic Designing, Photo Editing.

Really tough to do much, with that budget. You would still need an aftermarket cooler, for overclocking. A coolermaster Hyper TX3 at minimum. The build above mine includes Mail In Rebates, which are a gamble at best. Also that motherboard is not safe for any kind of overclock, as it lacks heatsinks for the VRM's.

You could get a better graphics card and wifi card, but it will put the build further over budget. You won't want to go with 6GB of RAM since the motherboard supports dual-channel setups. Your options really boil down to 4GB or 8GB.

Should I go to 4gb and just get a better graphics card and wifi card. Because in the future I probably will upgrade the ram. The only games I'm going to play are mostly WOD and maybe Dayz

Horrible power supply. You are risking the system just frying with that thing. You can get an 80+ certified Evga 500w for a few dollars more, and far better quality. Cannot recommend any cheap motherboard other than the Gigabyte 78LMT-USB3. AMD cpus draw more power and can easily overheat the VRM's on the board. If board doesn't have a heatsink, for the VRM's, don't get it, for an AMD board. $44 for a 500gb drive is kind silly when you can get a 1tb for $45. Looked at prices on graphics as well. GTX 750ti is faster and similarly priced to a 260x, right now. You want PCI-E for your Wifi. Here are my changes.

I found them on PCpartpicker. At the end of the price, for each part, it says which store. 😉 NCIX is big in Canada, but now has a US site as well. I have bought from them before. They were basically the Newegg of Canada, before both sites started selling in both countries.

Do not get that board. It is junk. A 500gb is really a bad choice, when you can get a 1tb for not much more.
