Decent Headphones For Gaming and Muisc

I am considering getting a pair of Audio-Technica ATH-M40x headphones, but I'm not sure if they would be good for what I would use them for. I would be using them for gaming and music listening. Would these be good for doing those things?

They are brilliant. However, if you have a bit more wonga to spare, go for the M50x's. They are the best value headphones available.
