decent pc with low fps

So hello, first of all i would say that in my opinion i have a decent PC, when i bought it like 3 years ago it ran everything at 60fps on high settings, now it barely goes to 30 fps on low/medium.

Specs:

CPU: Amd athlon x4 840 3.1ghz
GPU: Nvidia geforce gtx 750 ti
RAM: 8gb
OS: Win 10 x64

My GPU drivers are up to date, so if anyone could help me fix this problem, thanks!

In what specific games and at what resolution? That is very low end for current games.

It's an older system, CPU is from 2009 and GPU is from 2014. The fact that your still running games nowadays at medium-ish detail at 30 FPS is still impressive.

But if you want to try to improve performance you can clean the system free of dust and maybe try overclocking your 840 & 750 ti. Besides that there's not much more you can do other then save up for a new CPU/MB/RAM/GPU.
