Decent shooting game

im bored and would like to try a new shooter, anything that u guys recommand thats worth my time, im mostly used to doom and quake type shooters, anything fun would be great thanks.

Blaclkight: Retribution, Planetside 2 and Team Fortress 2 are free multiplayer shooters on steam.
The entire far cry and crysis series are great single player shooters. (Except for #2 which is kinda meh)
Bioshock and Deus Ex series have fantastic single player, Borderlands series have great co-op multiplayer.
Mass Effect is a great shooter/RPG...
The list goes on...

Blacklight: Retribution, Mass Effect 3, Far Cry 3 and Borderlands 2 are all 2012. Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Crysis 2 are late 2011
