Hey! So my PC has some decent spec (8gb ram, Radeon RX 460, decent cpu, and an hdd) ever since I built it, it had been running very slow. I figured I’d give it some time to work itself out, but it’s been over a year and it’s only gotten worse. My boot time can take almost 10 minutes (including starting up steam and discord) and using chrome is a nightmare. I’ve seen people with alarmist same specs play games like Fortnite or PUBG with no problem but when I try it is literally unplayable. I hope someone can help me so I don’t have tk buy a whole new computer, thank you! - Bryce

Sounds like you have some junk eating up your resources. Make some time to do some cleaning of startup programs. You can install CCleaner and clean up a lot of junk from your web browser and temporary files and even analyze and disable startup programs.

After you use it I would disable it also or uninstall it. It tends to run in the background now-a-days and can be rather annoying. If you want to keep your saved passwords for various sites be sure to uncheck that before deleting some things.

After using CCleaner I recommend running Malwarebytes AntiMalware to scan for any malware you may have been infected with. Like before I would uninstall it after you are finished with it because it also keeps running in the background...

The free version of both programs will suffice.

Then you can consider buying a 120GB or larger SSD and reinstall your Windows on it for even faster boot and load times.
