[SOLVED] Deciding between airflow cases available

Hi all,

Im looking to change my current case Cougar Turret (summer time is coming) and been looking for available airflow cases in my country, this are the "best" I could find.

I want something around 4XX x 4XX x 2XX mm (~18x18x8 inches more or less) in size

I will appreciate any inputs, you can give on them. Specially if you have it or used it, if you feel is crap, whatever can help me to decided between them.

1. http://www.phanteks.com/Eclipse-P400A.html (main issue I found with this is that it does not suport top radiators, not sure If I ever want to use one anyways) - This is the one I like most soo far

2. https://lian-li.com/product/lancool-215/ (Cheap case with decent airflow)

3. https://www.coolermaster.com/catalog/cases/mid-tower/mastercase-h500-argb/ (perhaps way too big)

4. https://articulo.mercadolibre.com.a...cking_id=3bcdc53a-7064-46dc-bebb-6245d11b8d24

Please share if you have any other recommendation so I can check and see if its available here.

Thank you soo much!

Lian Li is not a cheap case if you are looking at build quality.
For airflow, I like large, slow turning front intakes.
If case size is an issue, look at MATX.
My favorite is the silverstone TJ-08E which has a nice 180mm front intake.
I have used this before: 15.16" x 8.27" x 14.72"

Sorry, what I meant is that the Lian-Li I listed is kinda the cheapest one of all

Tell you the truth I like the fractal meshify 2, but is kinda on the big side for me desk....

Update, and first of all thank you for the suggestions.

After some extra researching, I discovered a new case option: Be Quiet Pure Base 500DX. I found one at a very, very good price and so I bought it. I know airflow wise it may not be as good as some of the options in my original post but it should be way better than my current case, and in addition I really, really like the aesthetics.

So thank you all. I hope i get it next week and I will try to post some pictures and benchmark/game results comparing to the old Cougar one (which I still love, and its very well design and finished for the price I paid, but it just that its really not great airflow wise).

Ok, I have the new case (bequiet Pure Base 500DX) working. I must said, building a PC like mine in it was hard (maybe because is the first time). Specially I had some hard times trying to insert the front panel power button and power led.

I always wonder why can they give it a least 10mm more from the motherboard bottom to the internal lower panel of the case, so its easier to build for someone with somehow big hands. It will be great for people with ATX mobos.

Anyways, airflow wise theres some improvement:

Cinebench R20 (after having the PC On for at least 30 mins):
  • Old case, 10 mins loop, Max Temp: 76,5°C
  • New case, 15 mins loop, Max Temp: 70,9°C
Euro Truck Simulator 2, 20 mins play:
  • Old case: GPU Max Temp: 81°C / GPU hotspot: 98.7°C
  • New case: GPU Max Temp: 69.5°C / GPU hotspot: 83.2°C

For the CPU it may not look like a lot of improvement, but those ~5.5°C may make the difference to stay away from the 80°C in summer.

Once again thanks for the help and cheers!

Pd: Just for anyone wondering, my old Cougar Turret have not much to envy to this new BeQuiet case. Cougar make some fine case and the Turret was really great, very well finished not only outside, but inside. Perhaps the only missing thing was the mesh front panel, which I didn't choose and bigger fans. I guess that was my bad.
