Deciding between i7-7700 or i7-7700k

I'm doing a new build with a Fractal Design Node 202. I plan on using a Noctua NH-L9i cooler in the case, but I'm not sure if the case is considered to have good enough ventilation to use the cooler with a 7700k. The GPU that I'm using is a Asus GTX 1070 Turbo which has a blower style cooler.

If you left the 7700k at stock settings I think it would be fine. Might even be able to give a little overclock.

Another option might be to wait for the R7-1700 and a Mini-ITX board, supposedly a 65W chip.

Motherboard is MSI Z270I GAMING PRO CARBON AC.

Not sure if I have the patience to wait for a itx motherboard for AM4 as I have not seen any releasing with or near the launch.

yup, no itx mobo yet
since u have a cooler z270, just get the k version.

I'd prob go with the K version since it will allow you to OC on that MB and the cooler is good for a low profile.

you case could handle a 57 mm pu cooler and check that on the noctua cooler the 7700 is not on support list for the one you choose http://www.fractal-design.com/home/product/cases/node-series/node-202 and noctua cpu support list http://noctua.at/fr/nh_l9x65_tdp_guidelines
