Deciding: HP Pavilion X360 14" Full HD 2-in-1 Laptop/ 15 11th Gen/ 256GB OR HP 15s i5 11/10th Gen/ 8GB Ram/ 512 GB

Hey Guys,
I am planning on getting a laptop just for basic work (Word, PPTX etc.) for uni. I am doing a Bachelor of Software Engineering. So I've heard that i5 is a pretty good standpoint to run by in terms of specs. In terms of specs, my current computer(Custom PC) is strong enough to run major apps etc. I think i just need this one for physical uni classes and possibly running some programs. I would prefer an all day battery life but its not necessary.

Option 1: HP Pavilion X360 14" Full HD 2-in-1 Laptop (256GB)

Option 2: HP 15s i5 11th Gen/ 8GB Ram/ 512 GB

Option 3: Dell Inspiron 14 5000 14" Full HD Laptop (256GB) [i5 11th Gen]

My question is the HP Pavilion X360 is on the 11th generation of i5 while the HP 15s runs on the 10th Generation of i5. Is there a major speed and battery consumption difference between these processors?
Also there is an option to get the 11th generation of the i5 for the HP 15s with the same specs (8GB/512GB SSD) but it's about $200 more expensiver.
I would really appreciate your thoughts an opinions.

I'd stay away from the foldable tablet style laptops. The touchscreen on them often times fails. Older gen hardware are often times priced higher or lower depending on the situation. If the price is lower, it's so that their inventory is cleaned out. If the price is higher than latest gen tech, it's so that the brand(and seller) are trying to force users to buy the latest tech since buying older laptops are more expensive(in the mind of the buyer).

I'd ask you to look into the HP since it's cheaper and you already have a system(per you mentioning it) that can do all the heavy lifting.
