I'm trying to decide on a monitor to get for an upgrade. i really want to get a 27" with 144hz so i can get above 60fps in certain games like cs:go. i would also like a monitor with at least 1440p resolution. My current problem is whether or not to get one with G-Sync. My main choices are the ASUS ROG SWIFT PG278Q and the BenQ XL2730Z. If there is a better monitor out there i would be happy to consider it thanks.

If you guys need other specs feel free to request.
System Specs
CPU: Amd FX-8350
GPU: ASUS GeForce GTX 970 W/4GB

If you are primary playing FPS game, the ASUS PG278Q is better than the XL2730Z since G-sync is suppose to work with N card and freesync is for AMD. I played fallout4 with a 780Ti on the PG278Q I get around 45-70 FPS.

But TN really really sucks on color display. See the Benq GW2765HT vs PG278Q... I ended up return the PG278Q and get the Benq since 75FPS is good enough for my GPU and the color different is day and night.

I can certainly see the difference in colour and thats one of the prime reasons to not get a tn panel. however i did want the higher refresh rate 144hz. i dont really care that the benq has freesync i was more considering it to save like 200 bucks. im really not sure what i can run and if i should be looking more into ips displays instead.

Well... if you want everything you can get the Asus PG279Q for 800 bucks with 144hz and IPS...(I am not a ACER fans at all)

I mean if you have a budget limit you can only do as much. IMO a 970 won't get over 80hz for most game I play (Fallout, Skyrim, Farcry etc...) It is just useless to get a 144hz to me so I will take a 300 bucks IPS monitor anytime and save that 200. It all depends on your preference. Do you play console on it as well?

nope strictly pc i have a tv for my consoles. (which i don't play much) also the 144hz would mostly be used for games like csgo. i have heard of bad reviews of the asus monitor which is why i was thinking the acer over it otherwise i really like the asus one as well. here in canada they are both stupid expensive though
