Quick edit, its from a post below but its seems to sum up my confusion similer than the original post.
That price is fine, i originally planned to spend £100 on a ATX motherboard (maybe a bit more). But then i found these cheap Micro-ATX ones and its puzzled me.

Is this simply an area i might save money in or should i spend my budget?

Down to the last component, yay. Just looking for motherboard ideas.
Im not so much clueless about them, its just i cant see why i would buy one over the other.

I was recommended this one from a previous post, ASRock B75 PRO3. Seems fine, but then i found similar ones Asus P8H61-MX and Gigabyte GA-H61M-S2PV, though they are really pushing the minimum specs for my build. There are also many other £40 ones, i see no reason to rule them out though :s.

Going the other way, i read reviews that this is meant the be one of the benchmark motherboards MSI Z77A-GD65. Other than sounding a bit more robust i cant really see why its 3x the cost.

I read that the power delivery to the cpu can make a difference, analog or digital. Or is that something i don't need to worry about. It seems i just need a 1155 slot for my i5 3570(or 3550), PCIe x16 for a 670, all boards support more than one drive.
Do i just go for a cheap one? Im willing to spend more if it makes a difference, but at the moment im inclined to go with the ASRock purely cos it was recommended lol (and a good price).

Thanks

Can you at least afford as ASRock H77M? It's not too much more expensive and it's better than three that you posted up.
The ones i pointed out arent the only ones, i just did a search on amazon for main brands (asus and gigabyte), listed cheapest first lol.

Although being the smaller Micro ATX, it still meets my spec (just). Or is sata 600 something i should consider?
I also found an MSI H61M-P20 on partpicker, Seems cheap and has good reviews.

It just feels like im goner regret getting a mega budget one :s. Though i have no plans to OC or SLI, so they seem like they do the job.

Edit: How about this one? Asus P8Z77-V LX, comes with intel Z77 chipset which seem to have a lot of hype on websites.

humm, i did some more research on chipsets. I didn't know that Z77 was just an OC version of H77.

Micro ATX wasn't a must have option, but if it offers the same performance i might as well go compact :). I vision myself with a PC smaller than the laptop im using at the moment lol.

The motherboard u posted would be good for me. I was hesitant as i had just from from a website that said ASRock was just a budget Asus lol, but it seems to more than meet my specs.

Just one other point, is it worth hanging around for Haswell chipsets? I hear their shipping out at the moment, or would this only benefit 4th gen processors?

Thanks for your feed back.
