Hello All
Tanks for taking the time to read this I hope you can help?

Questions:

1. Is there and advantage between a Motherboard using NVIDIA nForce4 and one using NVIDIA nForce4 SLI?

(If it helps I’m thinking on using: eVGA 256-P2-N553-AX Geforce 7600GT CO 256MB 128-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card)

2. At the moment I can’t see m to make up my mind on the two following AMD processors is one better than the other? Any Suggestions anyone?

The SLI board allows you to run 2 Nvidia cards in SLI mode. Any non-SLI board with 2 PCI-E x16 slots cannot run 2 graphics cards in SLI. However, you won't see a big performance gain unless you get higher end cards, like the 7900GT.

To your second question, the Opteron would be a better choice, unless you don't want to overclock. The Opteron has double the L1 and L2 cache, which will really help performance, despite the lower clock speed compared to the A64 you picked out. If you aren't going to overclock, go for the Athlon X2 4400+. In fact, forget about the Athlon 64 chip you described.... getting single core processors may be alright for awhile, but in the not too distant future, you're probably going to end up regretting not going for a dual core chip.

1) no difference if u didn plan on buying two 7900GT.

2)get an AM2. you'll woudnt have any much upgrade option for 939.or u may wait for conroe.
