I decided to get an SSD, but I really have no clue about this stuff and what to get.

My size has been set at around 120gb.

I have been looking at this one:
SanDisk x110 128GB ~$100

However, what I don't understand (please explain :) ) is how come the SanDisk X110 is only $100 compared to the G3,

http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Solid-State-Drive-SDS7CB-120G-G25/dp/B003B1ZW2G/ref=sr_1_7?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1367890360&sr=1-7&keywords=sandisk+ssd

which is like $400 (But same size)
Is the G3 faster speeds or something?

If so, I would like to downgrade to a 64 gb (that's all I need for programs) and get a fast one instead of a slow 128GB.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

G3 is old, from a time when SSDs were more expensive, and that seller hasn't dealt with deprecation .

More space will be better than a smaller faster drive, as the speed different shouldn't be noticeable in most day-to-day tasks. However, running out of space can be very problematic and 64GB is very small with today's bloated operating systems. Additionally, the extra space means that with wear leveling, the drive should last twice as long.

A new drive will be cheaper, larger, and far, far faster.
Old tech is ALWAYS more expensive - look at DDR2 ram vs DDR3.

That being said, speed differences between drives are going to be negligible; what matters is reliability. I'd tell you to get a 120GB Samsung 840 and call it good.
