Who makes the better 17", Philips or Samsung?? Weight is a bit of an issue, but I dont mind lugging a heavier monitor if its better than another lighter one.

If you're going to be moving it around very much, consider an LCD monitor. They have a lot fewer adjustments to get all bunged up.

Between Philips and Samsung... take the Samsung.

If you want a good monitor look into NEC, Viewsonic or KDS.
