The last thing I need to buy for my PC is a graphics card. Unfortunately, my knowledge of GTX cards is virtually nonexistent and would like some advice before I decide. I can get a good deal on both the GTX cards I listed in the title because my girlfriend gave me a $100 Giftcard to Gamestop (not the place I would personally buy them from) but 100 dollars is 100 dollars.

The most I would spend on any card is $250. I was originally going with some sort of a Radeon HD 7850 (still researching the brands, Sapphire catches my eye) but I'd like a little insight on the two GTX cards before I settle on the Radeon.

Oh.. Woops.
I don't think he should buy from GameStop. I didn't even know they sold graphics cards!
OP, sell your gift card to a friend who loves gaming for 100 bucks, then go shop at new egg!

Its not that I can't buy from Newegg, but with a $100 off these cards I didn't know if it was worth the savings to get the card from GameStop. Otherwise I might just hold on to the giftcard until I find something I like.

From what I've been reading, the GTX760 can run BF3 on Ultra at 70FPS (seemed a little high) and FC3 on Ultra. If one of the cards, particularly the GTX660 that was recommended, could run those games on Ultra at a consistent FPS I would be happy.

Of course, when the next gen games such as BF4 come out, I'm not quite sure if the GTX 660 would still handle those games at the settings I talked about. If I could get a good year or two out of it, I would be more than happy with that.

The GTX 760 is the most future-proof. Newegg has an amazing RMA service too.
You could fork out the money for the 760 and use the 100 bucks GameStop to purchase new games for it, or sell it for 100 bucks like I said.

The GTX660 will do BF3 at ultra, but would probably struggle at ultra in the more demanding parts of Far Cry 3. Wouldn't be miles off though - it will cope easily at high settings. The GTX760 is a really excellent card if you can do something else with the gift card.
