[DECK] I Have PMS and a Gun....

I have played this deck a couple of times, changed it a couple of
times, and haven't really settled down onto one type to make it. This
is mainly a Themed-deck, chicks with guns. The main problem I've been
having is actually getting the guns themselves. Right now it is one
card over. Any suggestions will be helpful, except scrapping it of
course.

Well considering I'm a woman myself, I actually like the name.

Rosa's got the disciplines and +bleed, but she's huge. Consider
swapping her for Sabrina (4, !Tor, aus cel pre), Antoinette DuChamp (1,
Cai, cel pre) or Zoe (3, Mal, cel AUS).

We'll fix your get-a-weapon problem another way, so trade it for Dreams
of the Sphinx, or for the Barrens if you don't have a DotS.

Flurry of Action might be more useful to you.

I've never done well with ammo. Dump all six of these is my advice.

Maybe changing the name? See, this is why most women don't like gamers...

Well, you certainly have more lattitude for such usage, then :)

So besides the name, what do you suggest I do with this deck?

Play group 1/2 that way you gain access to Black Cat and Bianca.

> Equipment (7 cards)
> 2 .44 Magnum
> 4 Beretta 9mm

and you need more than 6 guns in 90 cards. I play at least a 1:10
ratio of guns to library, so this would require you playing with 9.
Even then it's not always a solid way of getting guys.

And I'd play all .44's and ditch the Beretta's altogether. If you want
to play with nines, you've got to play with a whole heap of them
because you need 2 on each minion. Saturday Night Specials would work
better than berettas in this deck. But .44's would work better still.

And I can't remember if you had a heidleberg in there? If not, get
one.

If you play G1/2 and you play a few more Brujah, you can always access
Al's Army Apparatus and Arms Dealer as well.

Here's my current gun deck (it may differ slightly from what is here,
but not by much). Granted, it's not all chicks, and isn't as bleed

Since the majority of male gamers that I know are married or in long-term
committed relationships ("married, but scared of committment"), do you
have any evidence to back-up this statement? Or were you referring to
women not liking gam*ing*?

Or is this now too off-topic for you to respond? =)

Apparently things where y'alls're at are much different. The majority
of male gamers I know (keeping in mind that like you, I probably know a
whole lot more than the average bear) are single and have been for quite
some time.

That's not the original statement though, which I also must agree with:
~ most women do NOT like gamers. Some women do like gamers; often those
women are gamers themselves (and don't tell me THAT'S not a rare bird,
pun intended). But almost all women I know will quietly change the
subject and edge out of the conversation if you bring up "gaming" as
anything other than a _very_ occasional amusement; lord help you if you
actually admit to, say, attending Dragon*Con for convention-related
reasons. Insta-no-score, no-number, strikeout.

The subject of "why" is probably not a fit topic for this newsgroup. =)

(Fortunately, a very few non-gamer women don't mind gamers at all.
Perhaps eventually I can turn mine to the Dark Side... for now, I just
keep her happy in other ways, and she doesn't object to my occasional
gaming moments. ;)

I don't see playing Capitalist when Perfectionist exists. I'd rather
see something like x1 The Hungry Coyote, x1 Blood Doll than either.
I'd try to get rid of as many skill cards as possible and put in card
cycling, another Blood Doll, acceleration. I don't see getting much
use out of Fame, could replace it or add some Noses. Foundation
Exhibit could be interesting.

I see Suppressing Fire being useful when you have an action that
already requires some effort to block. You don't have a lot of that.
Maybe someone will block Heart, Art, or whatever, but there aren't
that many of those.

>Reaction (20 cards)

I'd like to have more bounce.

This seems too complicated. The Magazines and Rounds could be
Psyche!s, something likely to result in dealing more damage anyway.
Lightning Reflexes could be anything else.

Should have more permanent intercept. With that few Berettas, I can't
see relying on the dual action, so I'd just run more .44s.

To solve the needing guns problem, I'd just run more guns and
Concealeds and some way to burn off extras once you start getting
tooled up. Infernal Pursuit might be the way to go for that.

Not enough guns.

Creepshow Casino and an alacrity (or two) to make it a 2 stealth action.

I can't help thinking how out of depths I felt, when a while back in a
bar while playing Carcassonne in a bar with five women they kept talking
hours straight about their characters in Neverwinter Nights - which I've
never even touched. Damn geeks.

Girl gamers are not a rare bird. I've ran and played in who knows how
many roleplaying games and LARPs since the late 80s, and I can single
out the 4 tabletop games where there wasn't at least one girl present,
or running the game. Plus, I can name a number of RPGs where there
wasn't a single male player.

If I go to a LARP, it's quite likely that majority of players /
organisers are women.

I do recall having been told that this is a bit of a Finnish
peculiarity. For some reason, out of a quick mental browse of some
hundred++ people, I can't think of that many single gamers, either.
Maybe it's because gamers are sexah? ;)

I dug out estimates for the yearly 3500 visitor RPG/CCG/LARP/fig/etc
convention in Helsinki, Ropecon as well.. Out of the work force of
roughly 250 people, the male/female ratio is 50/50. Visitor ratio is an
estimate instead of hard data - my estimate would be roughly between
40/60 and 30/70.

As I was kindly reminded by certain gamer girls, some past year the
world champion of Rage was a girl (oh, and a Finnish one). Not sure
if that was two or three years ago, and if it was world or euro
championship but anyways :)
