I was wondering if anyone could take a look at this deck and see what
it's missing. It doesn't really have the right punch to do any serious
damage.

Your combat looks aw-ful-ly complicated. Let's take a look at your tactics:

- play Carrion Crows (one card)
- Draw Out their Beast (two cards)
- strike with Scorpion Sting (three cards)
- prevent their strike (four cards)
- remove their fangs (five cards)

That's a *five* card combo - and it loses against prevention or S:CE.
It can only beat equipment, dodge and hitback.

Now compare your combat with this proven animalism combo:

- play Carrion Crows (one card)
- maneuver and strike with Aid from Bats (two cards)
- if needed, use the press from superior Aid from Bats (still only two cards)

Beats dodge and short range hitback, makes prevention difficult. This is a
combat combo that wins games. And if you're afraid of long range weapons,
add Terror Frenzy (three cards).

In short, your combat module requires far far too many combat cards in your
hand, and only trumps hitback, dodge and equipment. You have to assemble a
hideously large combat combo, while your opponent plays a single Majesty and
laughs at you.

If you like to pull fangs, you could try stuff like Renegade Garou or
Shambling Hordes. You would only need to have Pulled Fangs itself in your
hand to start assembling a vampire fang necklace.

I'd drop one or 2 of the inferior guys, and double up on 2 of the ANI/FOR
people.

You only have 4 Gangrel, Ecoterrorists isn't going to be very reliable
unless you go up to 6 Gangrel. 2 Info highway is a waste. Unless you are
planning on tranfering more than 4 for the entire game, Dreams of the
Sphnix provides a much better option. This can give you an early tranfer
boost, and has other uses for when you are done tranferring. I'd put in a
fame, its good when they are down to one or two blockers, and you have 4
rush cards.

You defense seems a little slim, I'd want to double the number of Forceds,
this way you can tap out most turns bleeding, if needed.

You don't need that many drawing out the Beast. You do need more carrion
crows. That is your power card. Your combat would be more efficient if you
switched to aid from bats/carrion crows, but I assume you want to keep the
pulled fangs angle. I would go up to 8-9 carrion crows, and decrease the
DotB to 4. If you want to add a little more damage/damage prevention,
consider switching three of the prevention cards to indomitability oe
hidden strength. That way you get 2 rounds out of your crows.

2 of these shoudl probably be the bleed retainers, they are cheaper though
more fragile.

Hope it Helps,

I've been thinking about exchanging it for a PB: Montreal, since
that'll help all my vampires. Otherwise I'll take your comments in
consideration.

I'll see what I can do about that, it's a really good point.

Well, DotB is a good way to pull fangs on FOR decks, since it does
damage in press step which can't be prevented and that damage makes it
possible to pull the fangs on that vampire. But perhaps I don't need 8
of them.

I could exchange 2 laptops for Tasha and J.S. Simmons.

No, Drawing out the Beast does not in any way impact your ability to
play Pulled Fangs.

The damage from Drawing out the Beast at superior (during the press
step) is not caused by the minion who played the DotB. Its damage
does not count as damage caused by the minion, so it will not count as
"more" damage, so it will not enable Pulled Fangs.

See also the FAQ, section 3.17:

http://www.thelasombra.com/vtes_faq.htm

3.17 What is "environmental damage" versus "damage from a minion"?

Five cards require you to determine where damage comes from to
determine their effect. Blood of Acid, Disarm, Memories of Mortality,
Pulled Fangs, and Rotschreck require you to know if damage was
inflicted "by a minion" or if it was caused by another source.

Damage is only considered to have come from a minion if the damage is
from a strike or if an effect specifically states that the damage is
dealt by the minion. Damage from other effects is considered
"environmental", and has no particular source.

Damage done by retainers or cards like Carrion Crows and Weather
Control are not considered to be "damage from a minion", therefore
they are usually referred to as "environmental" damage.

All damage from a strike is "inflicted" by the striking minion.
All damage whose card text says that the minion "inflicts" the damage
is inflicted by the minion.

All other damage is environmental damage.
All cards that inflict such damage are cards that inflict
environmental damage.
