Decrease Ping on Battlefield 4

I have a alienware alpha, i can play star wars battlefront no problem, but when i try to play battlefield 4, the ping is as high as 860! my internet connection is full (all bars) and im not running any background applications, i dont know the problem. I think my internet is just dumb, but i dont know.

Your location, and distance from a games server is what'll play the largest part in your ping results.
There's not a whole lot you can do, shy of physically moving closer to the server.

Where are you located?

Ensure you're using ethernet and not wifi, that can help a little in some cases

I'm not sure if you can select which server to use (I don't play Battlefield) but take a look under settings and see. If it's an option, select the nearest server to you geographically.

Battlefield 4 has a a server browser. Select one with lower ping.
