Decrypting the encrypted file

Hello,
recently i upgraded my OS from XP to win7. I had few files encrypted which were copied to other partition now i am unable to view it because i dont have any efs certificate. I have many imp files which are encrypted now. Before i could view those files but now i cant. Can anyone please help?
