HI. I just purchased a RTX 2060. I wanted to use my older GTX 1060 6GB as a dedicated Physx card (thru the option in the NVidia control panel). Can anyone tell me if it is worth it? Am I gonna see an improvement? I am asking as I would need to buy a new power supply if I am to do this.

My currect setup:
2k monitor and expected resolution
I7 7700K
16Gb Ram
RTX 2060
GTX 1060 6GB (maybe?)

Thanks!

I honestly don't think using a dedicated PHYSX card would be worth it these days, for gaming. Not many games support Physx, and some rely on the CPU for implementation as well. In shot, it's NOT worth it.

Which PSU are you currently using ?
Oh the only reason I would change my PSU is because it is modular and I lost my extra cables when I moved last year :(

You can buy new cables from the manufacturer, but they are usually kinda expensive. But I would not worry about it because it will be kinda pointless as the 1060 wont give you 1fps difference in the vast majority of games. It will just make your 2060 and CPU run hotter, which can have a negative impact on performance and the life of the components.
