my son has a slimline zoostorm desktop pc which he uses to play minecraft and some games on steam.
GIGABYTE H81M-DS2V mobo
it has built in intel Graphics HD 4400
Obviously the built in gfx is no good for playing most 3D games, although it plays minecraft just fine, so I bought a dedicated low profile gfx card to improve this, I got the ASUS Geforce EN210 as recommended by someone on here.

But the gaming is even worse with this card than it is with the onboard gfx, even with the lowest resolution and all fx disabled, games are almost unplayable. How is this possible, surely there has to be some improvement with a dedicated gfx card ?

Solution
GT210 is really weak graphic card and not suitable for games.
Get something like GTX750ti instead or at least GT730 (if gtx750ti seems too expensive).
