So i got a new laptop, Lenovo Ideapad 100, and i installed windows 64-bit, installed all drivers and everything went fine. Now where ever i check it says i should be able to play Witcher 2 on medium-high settings. Now the problem is that when i started TF2 i was getting barely 30fps, and Gmod also barely 30fps. So i went to Nvidia Control Panel changed the 3D settings to use the "High-performance NVIDIA processor". And i still get the same framerate. DxDiag doesn't show the dedicated GPU also. GPU-z shows (when i play the game) only 350mb is being used on the dedicated GPU. Device manager says both devices are enabled. And i don't know what to do anymore.

Specs:
Integrated GPU: Intel HD graphics 5500
Dedicated GPU: Nvidia GeForce 920m
Intel i3-5005u 2.0 ghz
4gb RAM

Solution
In Nvidia COntrol Panel you only control the GPU. For iGPU it'd be the Intel HD Graphics Control Panel. If one is disabled, you know which you are using. Use HWMonitor to see if your GPU heats up and it's load increases when gaming. And you only use as much GPU as you need so change the in-game settings themselves rather than the general Nvidia ones because most games will be set to "Let The 3d Application Decide". You can override by selecting the relevant program/game in NCP under Manage 3D Settings>Program Settings.
