Hi!
My motherboard isn't working and I need to buy a new one. I am a student and I am trying to salvage as much as I can from my old computer. But I'm a little lost and don't know where to start. Which motherboard works for which chip? Which will work with my old harddrives? What is the ideal for video editing? Etc...I'm looking for someone who is knowledgeable with hardware and doesn't mind giving me 15 minutes of their time on the phone - my call of course. Thank you in advance!

If they're not SCSI or something exotic any motherboard should work with your hard drives. What's your current system and what's your budget.
