Dedicated Home Web/Game Hosting Server

Hi all,
This is my first post on the site so sorry if I do anything wrong! Anyway, I'm looking to build a small home server which I would use to host some sites for clients, to host some servers for games such as Arma 3, Minecraft, etc and maybe some VMs(not required). I'm relatively new to servers but I've been looking around and doing some research and I became interested in a low spec Dell Power Edge r710 however I feel this may be a bit overkill. Anyway, I was wondering what models/types of server(Rack, Tower, Blade) would be best suited to this issue?

Do you have someplace remote to put the R710? Rack mount servers are loud. They are designed for a datacenter which is a loud environment. In a home environment, they are LOUD.

Haha, yeah I have a small air conditioned room that's not used anymore nextdoor to my main setup

I am in the exact same situation and would like to get some advice as well...I have a theater room with a separate room with all my electronics for the entire house so space away from things is not a problem...I would like a server that I can put movies on and stream to anywhere in the house as well as host games such as Ark, Minecraft, etc. I don't even know where to start!
