Im going to get a new pc soon and my old one has a gtx 770ti with one gb of vram. Im planning a gtx 980ti or 1060 in my new build. Will the 770ti be good for physx or will the one gb cause bottlenecks. I can buy a new physx card if the 770ti isnt good enough.

The look of my pc revolves around having 2 gpus.

Solution
A 980Ti is significantly faster than a 1060 (~ GTX 1070 - 1080 performance depending on overclock), so that would be your best option for highest performance. A GTX 770 would be a terrible card to keep for PhysX due to its poor efficiency (performance per watt) compared to something newer like a GTX 1050Ti.

I would not bother at all with any quantity of GTX 970 at this point; you would be better of saving some extra money for a GTX 1070.

Also, would two identical gtx 970s (4gb) in sli do me any good? Once again my pc revolves around 2 crads. Please give me an idea on what to do. 1060 or 980ti with 770ti (1gb) dedicated physX card (or if i need better than 770ti to avoid bottlenecks) or if i should just do two 970s in sli.
