It's not really going to help much at all since the GTX 750 Ti is a much weaker card. Your 970s in SLI should be able to handle their own PhysX just fine.

What about with microstutter? In a few tests that I've read about, dedicated physx does help with performance depending on the game, and i'm sure I can get a 750 TI relatively cheaply.
Yes, it should give you a boost in GPU accelerated PhysX games. Just be sure that you intend to play GPU accelerated PhysX games frequently, otherwise it will be sitting in your rig generating heat and noise for no reason.
