Dedicated sound card for gaming

I got onboard Realtek 880 and wondering for a budget between 35-110$ what would you guys recommand thanks

What are your headphones you are using? The only reason for a sound card now days is because the onboard will not drive enough current for the headphones to work as intended.

The low-cost sound cards are just DACs on a PCIe card which provide little to no benefit over the built-in audio aside from possibly better SNR. Unless you are unhappy with integrated audio, I would not bother with add-in sound.

I have the SoundBlaster Z and I like it better than integrated sound. The card has a built-in amp for headphones too.
