Dedicated Streaming Pc AMD OR INTEL

So, I've been doing research for the past month. From fry's employees to scrolling through reddit for hours.
So first let me you give you my setup so you understand what im doing. I play at 2k 144 (only way to play) so using a capture card is out of the picture for me because i dont want to pay 400$ for the 4k60pro. And ndi is life love. So, using ndi im building a second pc to stream off of and its use is for nothing other than streaming. I have gig internet so i can push the full non-partnered bitrate to twitch (6mb). I want only the best, this is no budget build but i also dont want to completely over kill it for a simple streaming rig.

So, that being said after all my research what ive come to learn is that it delivers better quality to use your cpu instead of the gpu to encode, specifically the cpu preset setting in OBS.
That being said im torn on wich cpu to use, whilst some article say "oh and 8th gen i5 is more than enough" some say "your gunna want an i7" and some say ryzen 5 is overkill but cheap so it should work perfect. "should" is what i keep hearing and i hate it. WHAT WILL DO THE JOB WELL AT 1080 60fps. What cpu/build do you guys recommend and why? ill post my two build ideas, I dont have a gpu on there because i figured the integrated graphics would be enough, if not i can throw in a gtx1030.

Please let me know and share your knowledge! thank you very much.

With a Ryzen build you will have to have some sort of graphics card in there like a GT 1030 or cheap used 9 series or even a 750ti used since Ryzen don't have integrated graphics unless you get a 2200g which is probably not as good for streaming. You also can go with a cheaper motherboard, and AMD boards can be had for under 50 dollars.

On your Intel build you could knock off another 30 bucks and get a cheap 50-60 dollar motherboard, there's no reason to spend more on a streaming machine.

For both I'm not sure if for your RAM it would be better to get dual channel, the kind sold as 2 4GB sticks. Between the two I think the Intel would be a better choice with the higher core count.

One last suggestion maybe find a mATX or even mini ITX motherboard, that way the streaming computer can be small and out of the way. mATX boards tend to be cheaper then ATX although ITX tend to be about the same as a long end ATX

Ok, interesting. Somewhere i got the idea that the motherboard needs to support gig internet to stream properly, is this true or can pretty much any mobo support gig speeds? I do like the idea of the smaller matx or mini itx, any recommendations?

What about this?

The Vega 11 is a little bit better then the GT 1030.

The mobo has some compatibility issues which ive heard alot of people had problems with, i know its a easy fix but i would probably go with a newer mobo is all, but other than that seems nice! People seem to say ryzen 5 is the way to go, thanks for your input!

The frys is an hour away, i just went for some answers and opinions but they were all over the place made me more confused lol and there arnt any microcenters around here sadly. im going to be ordering most of my parts online.

I was referencing microcenter prices. 2600 is newer technology and better. Drawback is if you get a 470 series motherboard it will cost a bit more to ensure you don't have a bios issue. The 370 and below require the latest bios updates. Some boards are shipping with them but its hit or miss.

yes a simple 710, but the other cpu i noticed has 6 cores i think im going with that

i think they the same because one u pay for integrated and the other u pay for 2 more cores?

I mentioned Micorcenter because they have cheap CPUs. But I would still go with the 1600. It is perfect for your use case. For streaming you want as many threads. The 1600 has 12 threads whereas the new i5's only have 6. Considering the 1600 is cheaper than the i5, it is an easy answer.

You asked "WHAT WILL DO THE JOB WELL AT 1080 60fps?" Your answer is the 1600. It is also a very good price so that should help. You should use 2 sticks of RAM to run in dual channel. The MSI B350 Tomahawk is a decent board. I would go with a cheap gt 710 for a GPU. EVGA makes some good PSUs, but that is not a great one. I would take the 2017 Corsair CX for the same price over the BQ.

Also, I dont know your budget or your other rig, but Phanteks showed the new Evolve X at Computex. It is the same size as the standard Evolve, but it has room for a second PC. It is a sweet case and if I was into streaming I would be all over it. If you decided to go with it, then you would need a mITX board and a SFF PSU. I also dont know when it will be available, but I would be remiss not to bring it up.
