hi

i am running windows 10 with 8gb of ram and i have a intel HD graphics built in card but i only have 128mb of dedicated video ram i have looked online for ways to improve this and after going into my bios i havnt got the option to increase this,

i have found another site https://communities.intel.com/thread/85267

but im not too sure if this would work im abit stupid so is there anyone who could translate this to something an idiot could understand and if it possible for me to do.

any questions anyone has ill do my best to answer them

thanks

Technically you have 0 dedicated vram. All the vram that Intel igpu uses is taken away from the system ram. On many system this is handled automatcally. Even if you could manually increase the shared ram the gpu would still perform poorly.

Right click, display settings, display adapter properties. What it says under total available graphics memory is how much it can have. Dvmt will dynamically change depending on needs and go up to that max. The manual setting does nothing but make that ram permanently allocated rather than dynamic. The max amount is set by windows and the driver and cannot be changed manually.
