One cannot really make a complete "converter" between the two main types of RGB lighting devices. But this device is as good as you can get. It accepts the signals from a 12 VDC 4-pin mobo plain RGB header, and converts that to signals compatible with a 5 VDC 3-pin ARGB lighting device. An ARGB system can do anyting a plain RGB system can do, and more. But this device will let the ARGB device display whatever a plain RGB controller can call for, without doing any of the fancier things ARGB can do. And it is safe for your lights because it provides the proper voltage and control signals.

Basically this box connects to ONE mobo plain RGB header (and you only have one, I think) and will output ARGB signals on two slightly different ports (electrically the same, but with different pin configurations). An appropriate output from this box can be used as if it were an ARGB mobo header you can plug your Hub unit into.
