So I have an AMD FX 6200 CPU, and this CPU cooler: https://www.deepcool.com/product/cpucooler/2014-05/7_869.shtml

The motherboard is an ASRock 970M Pro3.

I'm trying to install the cooler, and the first clip latches fine, but the 2nd one can't be reached. The cooler is at an angle sort of from the first latch, and I can't pull it over to reach the other latch. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Thanks.

here's a pic of the socket

first clip latched

second one is so far from the latch

Solution
The cooler won't just clip on it's own, you need to put a substantial amount of downward pressure on the clip to latch it. Try to straighten out the cooler while pushing the clip down so you don't put too much force on one side of the psu.

AMD coolers are pretty known for having lots of retention pressure.
